Gates We Build & Service

From the gate itself to the hardware that moves it

A driveway gate is two systems: the gate and the automation behind it. We handle both, whether you are putting in a new gate or trying to get an existing one working again.

Swing Gates

Single or double leaf. Best when there is room for the gate to open inward and the driveway is reasonably level.

Slide Gates

Roll to the side along a track or on a cantilever. The answer for steep driveways or short approaches where a swing gate will not clear.

Gate Operators

Automatic openers installed, replaced, and repaired, including solar-powered units for properties without power at the gate.

📞

Intercoms & Keypads

Call boxes, keypads, and phone-based entry so you can let people in without walking down the driveway.

🛑

Safety Loops & Sensors

Vehicle detection loops, photo eyes, and edge sensors so the gate stops instead of closing on a car or a person.

🔧

Gate Repair

Sagging leaves, worn hinges, bent track, broken welds, and operators that hum but will not move.

How It Works

How a gate project runs

1

We look at the site

Driveway slope, approach length, where power runs, and how the gate needs to swing or slide. This is what decides swing versus slide, not preference alone.

2

You get a written quote

The gate, the operator, safety devices, and any trenching or electrical work are listed separately so you can see what drives the cost.

3

We build and install

Posts set, gate hung or track laid, operator mounted and wired, and safety devices positioned and tested.

4

We set up access

Remotes, keypad codes, and intercom programmed the way you want to use them.

5

We test the safety devices

A gate that does not reverse is a hazard. We test the loops, photo eyes, and edge sensors before the job is closed out.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

Swing gate or slide gate?

Slope and space decide it. A swing gate needs level ground and room to open. If your driveway rises from the street or the approach is short, a slide gate is usually the right call.

Can you automate a gate I already have?

Often yes. It depends on the gate's weight, condition, and whether the posts can carry an operator. Older gates sometimes need hinge or post work first.

What if there is no power at the gate?

Two options: trench and run power, or install a solar-powered operator. Solar works well for gates that cycle a handful of times a day, less well for busy ones.

Do you service rural and acreage properties?

Yes. Long driveways, wide spans, and solar operators are common on East County properties and we work on them regularly.

My gate opens but will not close. What is it?

Frequently a safety device. A dirty photo eye, a misaligned edge sensor, or a loop that is picking up something in the driveway will hold a gate open by design.
